While Archbishop Weakland could blame sexually and otherwise sophisticated teens for priests getting involved with them, and 14 years later excuse this as a mental or verbal lapse, Father Benedict Groeschel's similar remarks in the National Catholic Register (quoted by Matt C. Abbott) were withdrawn in about a day.
