Bully for them, unless that's a violation

Franklin makes cyberbullying a crime, reported our suburban weekly. (Actually it's made an ordinance violation; under Wisconsin law, a municipality does not have the power to make things crimes, as such.)

"[Mayor Tom] Taylor said that under the ordinance being amended, cyberbullying will be defined as harassing by using email, text or other electronic means someone who is younger than 18, with [Police Chief Rick] Oliva being the one to determine if cyberbullying is the applicable crime.[sic]

"The penalties imposed on the cyberbully will range from $1 to $2,500 per incident..."
