Three parishioners raised concerns after the drug arrest of the then-pastor. The suspicious patterns weren't described. I've read that sometimes when a pastor is suddenly out of the picture, donations appear to suddenly go up.
There was also something on the news about a finacial problem at St. Mathias Parish. I did not hear the details. I am sure that Archbishop Weakland and Bishop Sklba are proud of their fine example.

ReplyDeleteIt's also possible that a number of people decided to MAKE contributions with the exit of the former pastor.
