Departing for midnight Mass

My transmission is ma-a-an-u-al
With five speeds forward, and reverse, as well.
I push the clutch to shift to each gear.
When it's reverse I first check to the rear.

Reverse, reverse, push right, then down real well,
'cause my transmission's ma-a-an-u-al.
