The state aims to thin the deer herd, which numbers about 1.6 million, close to an all-time high. ...But what about the human herd? It's swelling to a milestone in America: 300 million, the U.S. Census Bureau says. By contrast, deer number just 30 million. Bambi would doubtless argue it's humans who need thinning. And the deer's logic would be impeccable: Humans have despoiled Mother Earth far greater than have deer.

300 million Americans? Bad news for Bambi

Read Ann Coulter's "Godless", which provides a great argument as to WHY people think humans are less important than deer.
ReplyDeleteBasically, when you don't believe in God (as many liberals and journalists don't), you don't believe that mankind has dominion over the earth. Does that mean we should abuse it? Most certainly not. But it also doesn't mean *I* shouldn't have children, or that we should continue murdering children at a rate of 3,000 per day.
"And God blessed them, and God said to them, 'Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth." (Gen. 1:28)
But does anyone notice how people who suggest the "human herd" needs thinning NEVER offer themselves as a sacrifice to the cause? Much like liberal Hollywood types demand WE drive environmentally friendly cars (while most still travel in SUVs), it's typical liberal hypocrisy.
