To my mind, it is likely that what we now understand as the mass media will be gone within ten years. Vanished, without a trace.
In an Aug. 14 telecast Mother Angelica, founder and head of the EWTN, criticized the "destructive force" of the liberal church during the past 30 years. "For a half-hour she ranted and raved about all the |abuses' since Vatican Council II, according to her own personal judgment, which of course she equates with that of the Holy Father," Weakland wrote in his archdiocesan newspaper, the Catholic Herald. "She invited everyone who disagreed with her to leave the church."
