That's the front page headline from the October 22, 1975 Milwaukee Sentinel. There is some institutional history at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. As I recall, the bank's full name came about from the combination of the City Bank and Trust Company with the American State Bank, and the combined bank later changing from a state to federal charter.
